“Training Programme on Enhancing Grassroot Justice Eco-System Through Legal Literacy Among 3 Gaon Panchayat in Margherita, Tinsukia District” was organized by Legal Cell for Human Rights (LCHR) under the support of Manos Unidas from 30th & 31st October 2022 and 16th & 17th November 2022 at Mary Help of Christian Church, Margherita and St. Xavier’s School, Mancotta – Dibrugarh respectively.

There were 42 and 43 participants in Mary Help of Christian Church, Margherita and St. Xavier’s School, Mancotta – Dibrugarh respectively. They were trained on the following topics –

1. Right to Information Act 2005,
2. First Information Report,
3. The Plantation Labour Act 1951,
4. How to conduct awareness programme,
5. How to conduct focused group discussion, and
6. Group dynamics and motivation.

The resource persons were –

1. Fr. Owen Chourappa SJ.,
2. Fr. John Minj, and
3. Ms. Sabita Barwa.
