• Providing guidance, counseling, consultancy, service, aid and assistance to the poor and the most needy people in the field of law by engaging qualified and expert legal luminaries at pre-litigation stages.
  • Representing aggrieved persons or groups of people in law-courts, tribunals or any other forum by engaging or by taking voluntary services of the advocates and lawyers.
  • Spreading information, knowledge and legal literacy to build up legal awareness and capacity among the people through workshops, seminars, sessions or any other means.
  • Out of court settlement of disputes by a Committee’s recommendation for conciliation.
  • Taking up issues affecting larger sections of people through advocacy and lobbying. Public Interest Litigation and other means.
  • Training of Para legal workers. Fact finding on specific issues and concerns through Research and documentation.
  • Publication of leaflets, handouts and other materials for mass education.
  • Networking with NGOs and people’s movements.
  • ‘North East Legal Fraternity’ has been formed to tap the resources of legal competence among lawyers of region, with fifteen fraternity units. It operates in the seven states of North East India.
  • Training On Strengthening NELF Leadership’, was organised for the Office Bearers & Executive Members of North Eastern Legal Fraternity.
  • LCHR TEAM organised number of ‘Legal Fraternity Awareness Programmes’ within the North Eastern region. The programmes were conducted to bring together young   lawyers as units and provide them the platform to be fruitful lawyers with a difference.
