On 29th and 30th June 2022, a residential training programme on “Child Protection Laws” was organized by Legal Cell for Human Rights (LCHR) under the support of ‘Kindermissionswerk’ at Pastoral Centre – Lichu Bari, Tezpur for the Instructors of Supplementary Education Centre’s of Nagaon, North-Lakhimpur and Udalguri district zones.

A total of 34 participants including the District Coordinators and LCHR staff participated in the training programme. They were trained on the following topics –

1. ‘The Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act 2012’,
2. ‘The Right of Children to Free and Compulsory Education Act 2009’,
3. ‘The Important Features – Constitution of India’,
4. ‘Protecting Children from Violence, Abuse and Exploitation’,
5. ‘The Plantations Labour Act 1951’, and
6. ‘The Right to Information Act 2005’
