On 15th March 2022, LCHR organized a training on ‘Livelihood Issues for Women’ at North East Diocesan Social Service Society (NEDSSS), Kharghuli, Guwahati with the guidance of Fr. Owen C SJ. (Director of LCHR) under the support of ‘Dreikönigsaktion der Katholischen Jungschar’. 

There were 65 participants from Tinsukia, Dibrugarh, Udalguri and Nagaon districts of Assam, participated on the training programme. They were trained on the following topics –

1. Schemes for Pregnant Women
2. Sexual Harassment at Workplace Act 2013
3. Human Trafficking Act 1956
4. Child Marriage Act 2006
5. Protection of Women from Domestic Violence Act 2005
6. Right to Information Act 2005
