Training and Education of Community Leaders on Child Rights was organized by Legal Cell for Human Rights (LCHR) in collaboration with North East Legal Fraternity (NELF) at New Colony Church, Bongengsewegre, and St. Peter’s Church – Damagre (Williamnagar, East Garo Hills – Meghalaya) on 3^rd , 4^th and 11^th December 2022 respectively under the support of Kindermissionswerk.

There were 76, 103 and 57 participants in the Programme respectively, who were trained on –

1. “The Prohibition of Children Marriage Act 2006”, and
2. “The Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act 2012”.
3. “Child Right and Right to Education”.

Adv. Albania Kilse B. Marak, Adv. Christopher D. Sangma, Mr. Greatson Sangma and Ms. Silmera Doggtchi G. Momin were the resource persons of the training programme.
