TRAINING AND EDUCATION OF CATECHISTS ON ‘CHILD RIGHTS’

Training and Education of Catechists on ‘Child Rights’ was organized by Legal Cell for Human Rights (LCHR) under the support of ‘Kindermissionswerk’ on 7th November 2021 at Mary Immaculate Church, Sarupathar.

The training programme began with lighting of the lamp and a short prayer which was led by Fr. Joseph Kindo SDB (Parish Priest – Golaghat) . Fr. Norbert Xess (Parish Priest – Sarupathar) welcomed the Director of LCHR – Adv. Owen Chourappa SJ, resource persons and all the participants for the training programme.

Adv. Owen Chourappa SJ, Director of LCHR explained the purpose of the Training and Education of Catechists on ‘Child Rights’ and importance of child rights for the growth of the society.

There were 101 participants from Sarupathar, Golaghat, Wokha, Doigrung, Bokaghat, Uriamghat, Ornalpur and Naojan parishes of Golaghat district under Dibrugarh Diocese participated in the training programme.
