LEGAL CAPACITY ENHANCEMENT TRAINING OF PLPs

Legal Capacity Enhancement Training of PLPs was organized by Legal Cell for Human Rights (LCHR) under the support of ‘Dreikönigsaktion der Katholischen Jungschar’ on 1st and 2nd March 2022 at North East Diocesan Social Service Society (NEDSSS), Kharghuli, Guwahati.

There were 89 Para Legal Persons (PLPs) of different districts of Assam, participated for the training programme. They were trained on the following topics –

  1. ‘Land Laws’
  2. ‘The Maternity Benefit Act 1961’
  3. ‘The Sexual Harassment of Women at Workplace (Prevention, Prohibition and Redressal) Act 2013’
  4. ‘The Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act 2012’
  5. ‘The Right to Information Act 2005’
  6. ‘The Minimum Wages Act 1948’
  7. ‘Child Parliament’
